Saturday we went to the Botanical Gardens that have a luminary walk each year. We went last year, but we went about 15 min. before it closed and all the "stations" were closing down, so we knew it was good, but we wanted to get the full effect this year! They basically light their miles of trails with candles and white lights and they have different tent stations set up along the trails (i.e. cider/campfire by the Boy Scouts, a group of carolers at another tent, an Indian flute player...). It ends in the visitor's center with Santa & a bell choir! This was Henry's first time to sit on Santa's lap...we weren't sure what he'd do, considering he was enamored with the Easter Bunny last spring. Well, he did jump right up there, but took the matter very seriously--when Santa asked what he wanted, he listed about 20 Dr. Seuss book titles. (We're so proud of our book lover!) Then he proceded to tell him that he got $2 for his birthday (thanks Melody!) and he would like to buy some books too!
When I tried to put Andrew on Santa's lap, he screamed...so maybe next year! Here we are enjoying the lights though! :)

That is too funny. My girlie girl asked for a "blue sparkly dress, fairy wings, and a pony." Lord, Help us all. :)
Ellie also would have nothing to do with Santa. Although those photos are often the funniest ;)
