Is this why they call it the "terrible twos?" & our honey paint

I signed Henry up for this mommy & me gymnastics/exercise class, thinking Drew could just sleep in his car seat for the 45 min. class but after week 1 (which I survived thanks to Uncle Matt's visit), I determined that I needed my mind & body & both hands to be completely focused on Henry. So thanks to my wonderful sister Jill (who advised us to move to where "some sort of family" was), she now is watching Drew for me for the class duration.

Anyway, so Henry is "the kid who doesn't want to do what the rest of the class is doing." He doesn't have a ton of experience in these "class settings," so I guess it's good practice! I was in tears when we came home yesterday b/c he had cried almost the whole past 2 hrs. -- 1st b/c we dropped off Drew at my sister's house & Henry wanted to go in, 2nd b/c he hit his head on the railing on the way into the gym, 3rd b/c he wanted to go IN the gym, but the teacher waits until exactly 9:00 to open the door, 4th (off and on crying) b/c he wanted to do his own activities in class, 5th b/c we had to leave the gym, and 6th b/c we picked up drew at my sister's house & Henry wanted to go in again... And that was our "fun" outing for the day!!! :) ha ha!!

Henry did take a VERY good 3 hr. nap for me after all that trauma though, so the day got much better! I took the opportunity to finish painting our dining room. Here's a pic of Henry stepping on Andrew's head with the "honey" in the background:

And just for kicks, here are 2 of my cute boys in the doorway between the kitchen & old white dining room!

You gotta love them!

Just some cute recent pics. Henry's wearing gloves to help Mike clean up our paint supplies -- yes, we're painting again! In the spirit to complete the primary colors downstairs, we painted the dining room "honey" (aka yellow). More pics to come on that!

Our home is your home!

We've now officially had "out of town" visitors--and the boxes still aren't unpacked!

Barbara & Jay came on a whirlwind (& snowy) 1-day trip from the West coast (they were already in the midwest). We enjoyed meeting their dog Scooter and introducing them to the boys. We are so grateful we have friends that would spend time & money to come see us!! The picture is from our quick trip to Union Station.

This past weekend we got a wonderful surprise visit from Mike's youngest bro--Matt. Here he is with our "tongue man." Drew's newest trick is sticking out his tongue farther than what looks natural! Again, we had snow for our visitor, so the other pic is of Matt & Henry before their sledding adventure. Like a good uncle, Matt taught Henry about snowballs, which means that Matt made the snowballs & Henry threw them on the ground

We also excitedly hosted a dinner with my college roomie, Dana & a lunch with the Der family (Justin was a highschool friend & now has a wonderful wife & 2 boys)!

If you're in the area, let us know! You might be the next on our Blog!

Our Good Dancer/Jumper

This is the Australian (thanks to the Wiggles) rendition of "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed." Henry performs it just as the Wiggles do...with the kneeling and pointing. The boy has an incredible memory (he gets it from Mike) -- he can recite the first 2 pgs. of "Curious George & the Fire Fighters" (thank you Powells!), and his new favorite soliloquy is a scene from the Movie "Robots" (thanks Santa)! Rodney says, "No Mom. I have to do this. I'm going to Big Weld City tonight to get a job to help pay back Mr. Gunk!" It's funny b/c every time Henry says "no mom..." he follows it with the rest of it!

Smiley Drew...:)

Anyone know how to remove wolf hair from a headlight?

So, it was dark, Mike was driving to work and didn't see the wolf until he was on the windshield...and didn't really see him after either, but we do have some wolf hair remains from the incident! The headlight on the car went out, but it's not cracked. You can see a little dent above the headlight in the picture too.

You actually looked at it! :)

A few of you have asked how to post a comment... You DO need a google account, but all it means is that you give Google (www.blogger.com) a current e-mail and password (i.e. hotmail or yahoo accounts work)! (And they haven't sent me any "spam" mail since I signed up.) When you do that, you not only can comment on our blog, you can create your own blog! :) Thank you for looking at our site. It encourages me to write more & get our New Year's pics posted asap!
