So I know it's been forever...but I've been out of "life" for the last 3 weeks now...here's our story...

We are currently in somewhat of a quarantine here. I don't know if you saw on my Facebook page, but after 2.5 weeks of coughing, and seeing my OB, I pulled a muscle in my back (coughing) two Thursdays ago. I couldn't stand up after I coughed and had to call my sister who was able to come over & call my OB (it hurt for me to breathe, let alone talk/walk) and see if she should take me to the ER. My OB just prescribed some major muscle relaxers (w/ codeine), 800 mg of Ibuprofen, and a cough suppresant w/ more codeine. Mike took Friday off of work & his mom drove in from Denver which was a complete blessing. I was (out of it but) able to do a little Trick or Treating with the boys though. Henry was Larry the Cucumber (from Veggie Tales)...and Andrew was Bob the Tomato. Their "trick" was singing the theme song from Veggie Tales...which is just about the cutest thing you've ever seen/heard.
They have continued to wear the costumes daily (which we borrowed from a friend)...so I'm not sure when the fun will end. Andrew wakes up in the morning asking for "Drew Drew's pumpkin" (wanting the candy inside) and continues to walk up house sidewalks thinking that the trick or treating MIGHT just go on all year. Henry already has his costumes planned for the next few years--I think they are "Mike from Monsters Inc.", a pirate, and the "Man with the yellow hat" from Curious George.

Henry got my cough last week, so I kept him home from school/church and probably will tomorrow too. We did manage to take the boys to see Curious George Live this weekend, a fun surprise to start off Henry's BIRTHDAY week (and probably the reason for his costume in three Halloweens)...Henry liked eating popcorn the best, Andrew liked climbing over the seats. :)
My back is finally better (I STILL hold it when I cough though)...and I am still coughing about the same. It's been GORGEOUS here...65-ish & sunny everyday with that nice cool fall breeze. Henry flew a kite for the first time last night--which was caught in a tree within the third flying attempt I believe. Thankfully our neighbor saw it happen & came right over with an extension limb cutter & just cut off the branch with the kite and all.
We have some fun pirate parties planned for Henry's 4th birthday this weekend...and hope to all be well in time for that! More to come on his pirate ship cake!! :)
